Dear Parents, Carnival! What a wonderful moment for our students, staff and community on Friday. From the feedback I’ve received, it seems this event was not only fun and timely, it connected our community around an important event here in Poland. Led by our Polish Culture and Language teachers, we were able to make relevant curriculum ties to the celebration. Thank you for your support! ES Math Kangaroo - T-shirt Design Contest for Grades 3 - 5 Do you enjoy drawing? Do you enjoy being creative? Do you have drawing ideas connected to math? If you answered yes to these questions, then you should participate in the t-shirt design contest for Math Kangaroo! ************************ What: Students can submit a design that will be used for the ASW Math Kangaroo t-shirt Instructions: · The design should be drawn on white A4 paper. · The design should fill the page. · The drawing should NOT be very detailed since this design will be printed on a shirt. · The design should include the words: Math Kangaroo 2017 at ASW. · The design should be hand drawn. · The design should connect to math in some way. · The design should be drawn all in color pencil. · The child’s name should be on the backside of the design. Completed by: Design must be submitted to classroom teachers by Thursday, Feb. 9. Judging: Teachers will judge the designs through silent voting. Student names will not be used. This student publishing group wants the Yearbook to be as accurate as possible. IF you would like your child's name presented differently than how we refer to them in school, please complete this name verification form. (Teachers will check Yearbook names and nationalities to verify they are accurate before publishing.) IF you would like to use an electronic version of a photo instead of the one taken here at ASW for the yearbook, please use this form to submit that photo. All forms will be closed on March 1.
