Principal’s Note: Dear parents, Thank you for attending our Elementary Conferences. The school was buzzing with the voices of students, parents and teachers all working in partnership! As you know, this week our PYP Consultant, Mr. Hewa Thompson will be on site evaluating our work so far. We will be utilizing Mr. Thompson’s feedback to help ensure the work we do on our curriculum and unit design helps us march toward full accreditation in the Fall of 2019. I’m writing this message from Bucharest, Romania where I’m attending an amazing PYP PE workshop with our ES PE staff. It has been a worthwhile learning event for us all. We are excited to return to work to share with our colleagues and the students on Tuesday. As always, my office is open. Please don’t hesitate to stop in if I can be of service. Warmly, Jen Munnerlyn esoffice@aswarsaw.org Important Upcoming Dates to Note: (more detailed information below)

Because your children are a vital part of the learning journey! Celebrating what has gone well, and being able to speak to what he/she will do next allows students to have a voice in their own learning journey. Similarly, being present for and part of our conferences help children feel connected and empowered. Please remember, teachers are always available to meet with parents throughout the year. If there is an important need for you to speak with your child’s teacher, don’t wait for a conference date! (We will do the same.) We are hoping for 100% attendance on this special day.
