Elementary E-Notes, June 19, 2017

Principal’s Note:

We did it! The end of the 2016-17 school year is upon us!

It has been a wonderful year for our community, students and staff.

As I say goodbye to students who are moving on, I am always sure to remind them that they made a difference in our lives and will never be forgotten.

I look forward to seeing you all in August. In fact, please note two items of importance for the start of our 2017-18 year:

1. We will send classlist and teacher information out to all parents prior to the first day of school. (I’m hoping an email goes out by Friday, August 18th. (Please make sure your Powerschool contact info is correct!)
2. Then, on the day before our official start of school for students in Grades 1-5, we will host an optional “Returning ES Family Meet and Greet.” This event, held in the afternoon on Monday, August 21 will allow students to meet their teachers, see and say hello to last year’s teachers, and catch up with friends prior to our big, first-day start on Tuesday, August 22.

It has been a pleasure to partner with you this year.

Library End of Year Information

Please return all library books by Friday, June 9.

Summer check-out - June 14-20:

For families who are returning to ASW next fall, students and parents may each check out 15 books. All books will due the first week of school in August. Elementary students will be bringing home permission slips which need to be signed before summer check-out.
June 20 - Last day for exit stamp (confirmation all books have been turned in) for departing students and families.
