Dear Parents,

What a wonderful time for a break. As we resume the school year, look forward to the end of winter, and welcome back the light, I hope our students, faculty and families can stay healthy.

Please remember to keep your child home if she/he is ill. Preventing the spread of illness will keep our school up and running during this stretch of instruction time.

Mother Tongue Day- A Big Success

Family Reading Night – March 10
Come enjoy some stories and activities with your child(ren) at our spring Family Reading Night!

• Thursday, March 10, from 1800-1930
• We’ll begin in the Multi-Purpose Room for refreshments and special presentations, then move on to the library for stories.
• This event is geared for students in Grade 3 and below but older siblings are welcome.
• Kids are welcome to come in their pajamas.

Please RSVP in the library or by filling out this short form.


AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

REMINDER: Now that the two lovely shows of Annie musical are completed the Drama Production Skills activity is finished. This refers to both Tuesday and Friday drama clubs for grades 1-5. Congratulations to all the participants! Your hard work and perseverance during many months and many rehearsals resulted in a wonderful performance! 

WINTER SEASON ENDING SOON: Please be reminded that we have just two more weeks left in Winter Season. The season ends on Friday, March 11. The information about the new offer of activities for the new season will be shared soon after. Spring Season will start on April 4.

Although the season is almost over, it is still possible to sign up for a few activities where we have some spaces left. Please, remember that we can grant up to two seasonal activities to each student. You can check the list of available activities below:

As always, we remind you to pack an extra snack when your child has an activity as there is no time to go to cafeteria before the start of activities. Also, please remember to pick your child up promptly at the end of the activity as sponsors might have other responsibilities afterwards and should not be expected to stay longer.

Students are expected to follow the school code "BE RESPONSIBLE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE SAFE" in the co-curricular program, too.

Parent Technology Connection - Using Keynote to Create Stunning Presentations
On Tuesday, March 8th at 8:45 am, please join Simon May and Kris Sheehan, our ES Technology Coaches in the Teaching and Learning Center for an exciting learning opportunity. During this session, you will learn how to create your own presentations using Keynote.  With this tool’s clean and simple interface, you can add text, images, sound and video to any presentation. You can easily add transitions and animation to make your presentation come alive. Keynote is available on the Mac laptop, iPad and iPhone. For this training, we will be using the Mac laptop application. We will provide laptops for those of you who don’t have your own. We are looking forward to another fun and educational session!
