As we move into more beautiful weather, please be reminded that students who stay after school to play on the playground or in the cafeteria-even if they are waiting for soccer or another activity- must be actively supervised by an adult. Any children who are not supervised will be sent to our pay-for Afterschool Care program. Your support is appreciated. Just like our students, I continue to learn how to learn. This weekend I participated in a workshop in Hannover, Germany about the “Power of Inquiry.” Kath Murdoch, better known as the “Queen of Inquiry Learning” led 80 teachers from around the world in sessions focused on developing school-wide and classroom-based inquiry models. Inquiry is the driver of all high-quality PYP programs. It is exciting to be part of this journey at ASW. Please remember to mark your calendars for our new PYP Coordinator, Miranda Rose’s, visit, March 30. We have several opportunities to develop community this week. First of all, Family Reading Night on Thursday, March 10th is a wonderful way to connect as a community around the importance of reading to our children. To generate spirit about this event, students are welcome to come to school in their Pajamas on Thursday.
