Dear Parents, I hope your family is finding ways to stay healthy . Last week we had many out due to illness. As the weather changes, it is normal for us all to feel affected. That said, please remember to keep your child home if he or she is ill. Nothing is harder than learning when you don’t feel well. Along the way, she escapes the clutches of the evil Miss Hannigan and her family, befriends a loveable dog, Sandy, meets President Franklin Roosevelt and captures the heart of billionaire, Oliver Warbucks and his secretary Grace Farrell. Its exciting plot and catchy songs will be enjoyed by adults and children alike. Over 50 grade 1 -5 students have been working hard since the start of the year both on stage and backstage to bring this production to the ASW community. We invite you to the performances in the ASW Theatre on Sunday, 14th February at 15:00 and on Tuesday 16th February, after school. Tickets are available at the door for 10zł. We are fortunate to host author and "ambassador for math" David Schwartz today and tomorrow (Feb. 1 and 2). All ES students will have the chance to attend presentations by the author. We have books for sale in the library (15 PLN small paperbacks, 30 PLN large paperbacks, and 50 PLN hardcover books). The author will be available for book signing after school from 3:25 - 4:00 PM both days. ES Tech News Tips and Tricks for Managing Your Online Life On Thursday, February 4 at 8:45 am, please join Simon May and Kris Sheehan, our ES Technology Coaches in The Learning Center (near security) for another Parent Technology Connection (PTC) session. In this session, we will discuss privacy settings, iPad safe settings, tools to support a balanced use of technology, and other strategies to manage the online life of both you and your child. For all artistic enthusiasts in grades 3-8th ! Please try out our first winter break Stage Skills Workshops! Your children will experience different classes in the following artistic areas: dancing and choreography, voice training, building communication skills, drama improvisation, practicing public speaking skills. They will create melodies and lyrics, will make musical instruments and participate in radio-play workshops. They will build strength, speed and and improve body coordination in the gymnastics and acrobatic workshops.
